On arrival, each participant will be equipped with a harness and gloves. Additionally, a safety helmet will be provided for young climbers. All harnesses are double sling-style with a carabiner and pulley for zip-line crossings.
At our Gwinnett park, children from 4 to 6 years old experience the thrills of Treetop Quest on the Chick’Pea course. This level has a continuous lifeline; a belay system that is impossible to detach without a guide. Chick Pea obstacles are similar to our higher levels, but with equipment that is lighter and easier to use for our youngest adventurers. In Dunwoody, children age 4-6 participate in Kiddie Quest which consists of a net trampoline suspended in the trees, an on-ground obstacle course, and a harnessed obstacle course. All harnessed activities use a continuous belay system.
Older participants are led through a detailed briefing and practice session by Treetop Quest guides. Before beginning the course, we ensure all participants understand the mechanics, pulley and belay system that is impossible to detach without a guide. Ground guides will monitor climbers as they get the initial feel of the course on the practice route.
Once in the trees, guides will be present on the ground to ensure surveillance and assist participants if needed. All our instructors are specially trained and qualified professional guides in the industry. For more information, see our FAQ page.
For safety reasons, the weight limit is 250 lbs. All participants age 12+ are weighed at check in. Weights are kept confidential with our front desk staff and not communicated to others.
